The airport is served by a rail station on the main line between Washington DC, Baltimore and New York. This station is served by MARC commuter rail service on weekdays between Baltimore and Washington. Take the free shuttle bus from the terminal to the rail station.

Amtrak Northeast Corridor service between Washington and New York also stops at BWI Rail Station.
